 MAHERA

The  Town

Mahera town is very close to Lungi Airport which is the major gateway to Sierra Leone.  The town, and its surrounding areas, has a huge potential for development.  There are hotels of international standing in the area.  It is also in close proximity with an Atlantic Ocean coastline. You are always a few minutes away from the beach when you go to Mahera and any of its surrounding towns. 

Some of the surrounding areas are Lungi, Rotifunk, Tintafor, Masoyla, Rogbom, Tholomosor, Kamem, Kambia and more.  They are all minutes to the beach, the airport and ferry terminal.

The population in the Lungi area of just over 7.5 thousand inhabitants is mainly dependent on their agriculture and fisheries produce.  The airport at Lungi is a major employer in the area.

There are easy means of transport from Mahera, Lungi and the surrounding areas to Tagrin, the ferry terminal, and eventually to the Kissy terminal, the gateway to Freetown, and the capital of Sierra Leone.
