Costs and Payments

As soon as we identify the plot of land for you at Mahera, Lungi or the surrounding areas, and you express your wish to buy, you will pay a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the land.  You will also be required to pay for costs immediately.

These are:

The Surveyor's fees

Land registration fees

Section Chieftaincy and relevant local authorities' fees

Chieftaincy (presently the Regent at Mahera): 10% of the total cost of the land

Other incidentals

 

Other optional but strongly advisable costs are:

High pillars to demarcate your land (materials and workmanship)

Possibly putting a fence round the plot (materials and workmanship)

When you are ready to build, planning permission is required

 

The whole process, after identifying the land, and we are happy that the seller is his/hers to sell, should take about two to three weeks.
